Mr. Ellis Hux, 77, of 5714 Walker Farm Rd., Hillsborough, NC, died early Friday at his home. Mr. Hux was born in Halifax Co., NC, the son of the late Gladys Walker and the late Ellis Fletcher Hux. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by General Electric Co. Mr. Hux was a U. S. Army veteran.

Mr. Hux is survived by his wife, Lois Hedgepeth Hux; daughter, Pam Rust and husband, Don, of Durham; sons, Gary Hux and wife, Janice, of Raleigh, and Timothy Hux, of Rougemont; and grandchildren, Kevin Rust, Heather Little and husband, Chad, and Tabitha Smith and husband, Lonnie; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 23, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home in Durham. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 24, at 1:00 p.m. at Community Center Baptist Church in Halifax, NC with Rev. Grady Dickens officiating. Burial will follow at the Hedgepeth Family Cemetery.
